The Summer Market Season Begins Again: Join Us for Opening Day May 3

As the sun returns to warm our Valley, the signs of spring are all around us. Ice cream stands are waking up from their winter rest, lawnmowers hum back to life, and garden centers burst into color — pots of bright blooms ready to grace our front steps and sway gently from sunlit porches in the soft spring breeze.

And with that, the time is nearly here.

The Salem NH Farmers Market is moving outdoors for the season, and we’re excited to welcome you to our Summer Market beginning Sunday, May 3, at our usual location next to The Field at DICK’S House of Sport,at The Mall at Rockingham Park. Our summer hours return as well: Sundays from 10 AM to 2 PM.

As we wind down our Winter Market at the Mary A. Fisk School, we do so with deep gratitude. Thank you to our incredible guests for your continued support, and to our dedicated vendors who make this Market New Hampshire’s favorite. Your commitment, energy and passion are what bring our village to life week after week.

We also offer a heartfelt farewell to those vendors who are moving on from our community. They have been a meaningful part of our Winter Market, and we wish them nothing but continued success on the journeys ahead. We’re also ready to welcome new vendors into our Market village, eager to share their flavors, their harvests and their stories with our community.

While the spring harvest season is just beginning, May brings the promise of abundance — fresh herbs, crisp lettuces, early greens, asparagus, garlic scapes, rhubarb, and the much-anticipated arrival of fiddleheads. Each item is locally grown, freshly picked and full of vitality — connecting us not only to nourishing food, but to the land and the hands that cultivate it.

Shopping at the Market is about more than what you bring home. It’s about supporting local farms and small businesses, strengthening our local economy and deepening our connection to one another. This is where community happens — where neighbors gather, stories are shared and a sense of belonging takes root.

Be sure to check our weekly newsletter for updated vendor lists, seasonal highlights and important information about accessibility programs like SNAP and our own Market Match.

Because Sundays are simply better at the Market.

We can’t wait to welcome you, your family, and your friends this weekend as we kick off the 2026 Summer Market season and celebrate another beautiful chapter together in our Valley.
